Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Is there a way to have links to instances and communities in comments to actually open in jerboa rather than going to a browser?

A thousand times this!

In the meantime, if someone could post a quick walkthrough on how to easily get from

Point A: A link the looks like "https://sopuli.xyz/c/homebrewing"

to

Point B: Community page is opened natively in Jerboa, by way of 'my' instance, with the 'subscribe' option close at hand.

Fairly sure this is fixed, but might not be rolled out yet.

I just tested this on my phone now in Jerboa and it opens the community in-app for me, not a browser. .

I'm in version 0.0.32

Don't know if they just fixed it but that just worked for me then, hoping it's across the board now :)

Edit: Just tried it with links on a "new communities" community and they just kept opening on browser, must only work for certain instances, sad.

This would be great, Jerboa is a little clunky as it is
