I'm down for this. If you mods are migrating maybe sticky a post with the link over on reddit?

Honestly, can someone tell me what the point of a 2 day blackout is? Like if you’re really all about getting the point across, why would you not just go balls to the wall and go dark indefinitely until change? All a 2-day blackout is (in my opinion) is just virtue signaling to say we oppose what you’re doing but ultimately I’m too addicted to ever quit

@SteveToshSnotBarry @EFG
Inertia means most people don't *want* to move elsewhere. A longer blackout would just result in people scattering all over the place.

A short blackout keeps the community together, while also showing reddit what could happen if they don't change their mind.

So, less "virtue signalling"🙄and more of a two-fingered salute.

Don't suppose there's a way to make a bot that auto posts the content from r/gunners?

[–] Astrealix@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Problem is it would need to use the Reddit api lol

Don't know how things work on lemmy, but you should be able to scrape all the content from /r/gunners with a webscraper that runs on a cronjob
