Enterprise network and security is where I spend most of my time and thought there may be others out there who want to commiserate with me.

Hey there. Network engineer here. Just joined Lemmy and when I saw this server had a networking sub figured it would be a good starting place. I spend a lot of time administrating firewalls, specifically Palo Altos. Know a little about a lot of things and currently responsible for everything networking at my current gig.

I do platform ops and frankly whether its in my everyday life or work I despise networking. Yet its also probably the cause of the most interesting issues we run into so I guess I don't hate it that much.Just frustrates the hell out of me.

I feel ya. I do it day and night - global ops for a Fortune company - me and my homie in Philly and two in Manila. We have meetings at 8am/pm - lol.

Man I getcha there. We have departments all over the world and within my team we have people in NL, UK US and AU timezones. Trying to get everyone into a meeting is a challenge

Love it. It can be a bit buggy at times, and there's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but it's powerful and have a great community.
