I think the honest answer is "over on !creative@beehaw.org lol but I'll join in here too!

My current main WIP is a bit less interesting to look at as it's just plain black, but what can I say I'm goth at heart. This will eventually (after it hopefully opens up a lot with blocking) be a lacy top to throw on over whatever else when it's warm but not that warm.

Pic snapped while working on it on the bus to visit a friend. I sewed that cactus project bag too :)

Cute bag, but awfully colorful for Goth :-) ! Thanks for the heads up about !creative@beehaw.org. I just joined lemmy, so I’m still finding my way around.

What can I say,my love of wearing black is in a constant battle with my love of making pretty coloured things lol!

I just joined here too, I think generally people are congregating in bigger more general communities for now because we don't have the numbers to sustain all kinds of little niche places. But that may change next week when half of Reddit goes dark, so we'll see!

In the meantime I wonder if it's allowed to cross-post on Lemmy, we could just use both as a passive-aggressive hint to other crocheters to come here :D

Edit: Just noticed the mod of this place hasn't been active for a couple years so actually we're probably better off either sticking to Creative for now, or maybe starting a new community but making it a bit more general to attract more folks. Fibre arts in general, maybe? Idk I'm just brainstorming here...

That’s beautiful! What pattern are you using?

Thank you! It’s the Pineapple Lace Tablecloth from the booklet Ultimate Crochet Pineapples for Your Home by the American School of Needlework
