Isn't that known since the early 2000s?

Bad enough that they covered that up for 50 years or so. They knew that the chemicals needed to produce PTFE (Teflon) are toxic but still covered that up and said they're harmless.

This is a perfect example of capitalism creating perverse incentives that result in untold amounts of human suffering.
