Most of the search results I get for isolating my apartment sound-wise is about preventing outside noise from getting in. But my issue is related to my privacy inside the apartment and hence preventing any sound from leaking outside or just not bothering my neighbors through my music listening habit or gaming routines.

Do the tips for sound isolation as i first describe work the same for isolating sound inside the apartment itself too?

Sometimes the tips you get are for sound diffusion/absorption which are meant to improve sound in something like a recording studio. Just stick to 'sound proofing' and it will be two way by nature.

Yes, depending on what you found out. Can you link these resources?

You can use sound dampening panels aka sound absorbers which you can make yourself out of wooden planks, fabric and glass fibre or mineral wool. They effectively transform sound energy/pressure into heat.

Thanks for the answer! Iโ€™ve lost the resources i mentioned as i didnt pay much attention to them, but it seems like they would work!

I made a few dozens of those panels for my home and you can really hear the difference.

If you need any pointers feel free to ask!

They're that good in bed. Don't judge.
