A great free way to learn languages.

Forcing non-paying users to get Hearts to continue the half baked lessons was bad enough, but now with Super you can't even access the video calling feature?

This service has long been a cash-grab, but now it's predatory pricing tiers too...

I remember the day they said they'll never implement lives. Technically they're not wrong, since they call them Hearts, but I never used their service since they broke their promise.

Busuu is better anyway.

What language are you trying to learn?

Oh I was just curious. I was talking to a lady from my running club yesterday about Duolingo and she’s trying to learn Spanish. She didn’t realize I spoke Spanish and I was telling her about how apps like Duolingo are great for learning new languages but you will never beat actually talking with people who speak the language every day.

I think max is at least only to access the full on directly interactive AI crap

Tbf language practice is probably peak AI use case. Logic and accuracy were never going to be part of the language lesson plan.
