Ok so Trump has been elected president. I honestly don't care whether it is the fault of the people that are constantly bickering online or the DNC platform.

To me all that matters is what are you going to do next.

Trump has outlined a plan, Agenda 47, and is probably in cahoots with the people that made Project 2025. They have spelled out every horrible thing they are going to do.

How are you individually planning to help stop/curtail these efforts?

Sabotaging oil rigs, stopping the destruction of abortion clinics, DIY medicine, guerilla gardening, etc.

The actions don't have to be big, but we are currently in the position that the people who lived under Hitler went through can we please not take this sitting down.

I put together a little list that I think will be helpful for others, because little about what I do personally is going to change.

  1. Get organized. Join a Leftist org, find solidarity with fellow comrades, and protect each other. The Dems will not save you, it is up to the Workers to protect themselves. The Party for Socialism and Liberation and Freedom Road Socialist Organization both organize year round, every year, because the battle for progress is a constant struggle, not a single election. See if there is a chapter near you, or start one! Or, see if there's an org you like more near you and join it, the point is that organizing is the best thing any leftist can do.

  2. Read theory. A good primer is Blackshirts and Reds. It will help contextualize what fascism is, what causes it, and how to stop it. I can offer a good introductory reading list for Marxism if you'd like, but this is a good starting point.

  3. Aggressively combat white supremacy, misogyny, queerphobia, and other attacks on marginalized communities. Cede no ground.

  4. Be more industrious, and self-sufficient. Take up gardening, home repair, tinkering. It is through practice that you elevate your problem-solving capabilities. Not only will you improve your skill at one subject, but your general problem-solving muscles get strengthened as well. Theory guides practice, which sharpens theory to be reapplied to better practice.

  5. Learn self-defense. Get armed, if practical. Be ready to protect yourself and others. The Democrats will not save us, we must save each other.

  6. Be persistent. If you feel like a single water driplet against a mountain, think of the Grand Canyon. Oh, how our efforts pile up! With consistency, every rock, boulder, even mountain, can be drilled through with nothing but steady and persistent water droplets.

Reminder to never post anything on social media, ESPECIALLY on federated social media where federating deletions is a courtesy, that you wouldn’t be comfortable explaining in front of a hostile judge.

Counterpoint: knowingly taking risks is valid and sometimes even necessary.

It is, but you don’t have to hand them the evidence yourself Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

Yeah, I hope that no one that answers this gives full detailed plans I just want to know that I am not alone in feeling that we need to change our behaviour and hopefully prompt others to start thinking about what they are going to do. Things are fundamentally different now.

First and foremost: at this juncture, I would implore everyone to keep OPSEC firmly in mind, and to take preemptive precautions.

Use a phone with Graphene OS, and use encrypted communication (preferably XMPP, but Signal at the very least. No technology is best)

with that said,

Mutual aid will be more important than ever, join and build up your local groups if you're able, it will pay off in dividends in the coming years.

  • Search your local area + 'mutual aid'.
  • Help your local food not bombs.
  • Create a worker owned cooperative with your friends if possible, or join an existing one.
  • Help spread the meshtastic network to build up communication resilience in your community.
  • Plant trees in your community to help reduce the heat island effect for the coming heatwaves.
  • Create or join a community garden near you to bolster food availability and foster connections with those around you.
  • engage in guerrilla urbanism, make your community safer to walk or bike
  • encourage your coworkers to unionize under the IWW, contact them for help on how to unionize your workplace.
  • vote in your local elections to try and have a state or city government that is less hostile to the above actions, but continue to build decentralized power independently of them regardless. Do not make the mistake of handing off the responsibility to make things better to them, it's up to YOU, and your community, and hopefully other nearby communities doing the same, but that is all.
  • consider having the means to defend yourself and the skills needed to do so effectively. But do not neglect medical equipment or its use either.

We have tremendous collective power if we just use it, and hopefully this outcome will result in us coming together and building that world in the shell of the old. Collective solidarity is our only solution left.

Nice try, feds

Edit: this is not the best place for this very important discussion. Get on Matrix/Signal/XMPP, and get involved locally. This is a 'no phones meeting' kind of topic

Agreed. No one needs to answer this thread. Actually don't upvote either. Just think and share with others.

Gonna move out of the country as soon. As realistically possible.

There is only one solution.

As a European, I will try and boycott usa companies as much as possible (very difficult) especially megacompanies like amazom, apple, google and M$. USA is too preponderant in our life, better choose European alternatives
