They come in all sizes and colors yes! It might be that the variety living in my area (Southwestern Germany) - mantis religiosa - is slightly bigger than average.

I love them so much, it's always a wonderful moment when I spot one, and it was the first time I could hold one.

Ive seen this picture a few times on my feed but it is only after maybe 4-5 times that i realised that it is not standing on top og a statue hand!
