MODERATORS

Basically c/chat + c/gaming. Anything that increases socializing is good especially considering loneliness is on the rise in modern times.

The Lemmyverse chess event just ended https://lemmy.ca/post/292674 which is the most collaborative fedi gaming thing I've heard of.

Lemmygrad might have a video gaming together thing too.

List what multiplayer games you're willing to play with other Fedizens.

Minecraft is always great for socializing and building community. maybe as FOSS enthusiasts we'd play Minetest instead

Would love to see a Lemmy Minetest server!

Best i found is https://social.tchncs.de/@illunaminetest, (https://illuna-minetest.tk/)

which isn't lemmy, but they at least have a fediverse promo acct. If we get a few lemmyverse players on their server, eventually someone could reach out and get them to make a lemmy sub.

or just make an unofficial sub, since creating community is the goal

I second this.

Check out https://libregaming.org

Especially the match-making channels and the onFOSS events.

Open-source games only, but it's a nice community of players.

Diablo 3 is my main multiplayer game and I'm always willing to play with other people. I run a clan in this game with, roughly 30 other players, where we play together all the time. I've, also, met many more players in the game outside of the clan...we 'friend' each other and play together as well.

Diablo 4 is currently being beta tested and will be officially released sometime in the spring of 2023. I will continue to play with other people in this upcoming new release of the game.

I've been meaning to continue learning FF XIV. It does however seem like finding a group that doesn't use Discord is pretty much impossible, and I'm in the process of deleting my account there. Maybe I'll power through the story and then quit.

I have recently been mostly into Satisfactory and Factorio, though I am also a big fan of Crusader Kings II and III, and I might pick up Victoria 3 at some point soon. Definitely also interested in doing a Minecraft/Minetest server!

I would love to play Doom II. I don't play a fun and classic deathmatch for quite some time.

Early I'm playing Dota2 (strong not recommended), Quacke Champion (recommended), Minecraft (strong recommended) and LoL (recommended 50/50)

Now I searched multiplayers crossplatform (windows, linux, console maybe) online games

Monster Hunter Rise on Steam. I way prefer to play alone though, so I tend to solo the multiplayer hunts.
