Another post reminded me that these existed and were everywhere in the 90s.

My mom won a week-long vacation to England from a Fruitopia bottle cap contest and she gave it to me and my little brother. I was 20 and he was 16 and we went all over the place. This was back in the days of no cell phones and disposable cameras. That was a lot of fun.

Now I miss Fruitopia, and 20 oz bottles...

What happened to 20oz bottles? lol Shrinkflation or are they massive now? I stopped drinking soda and sugary drinks back in like 2018 and haven't really paid attention to those lately.

Everything is now 16.9oz (500ml). I think it started from bottled water

Ah, so shrinkflation. With sugary drinks, I figured it could go either way and there was an equal chance they were super-sized nowadays.

In Canada, these machines used to have glass bottles. (20oz?) Anyone else remember that?

I couldn't stand this shit as a kid. I want a drink that will quench my thirst, not one that will make me more thirsty due to the metric fuckton of sugar in it.

Yeah, the drinks were thirst anti-quenchers for sure. I definitely have fonder memories of the machines than their contents lol.
