Finally got a job after almost 5 months of being without. Tens of thousands of financial damage to repair, but I can finally get started. My whole retirement is wiped out at fifty. Probably some ugly tax implications. But we'll make it.

Congrats!
Got Covid, also trying clean THC out of my system cold turkey, learn i have a dairy allergy (not lactose intolerance), kind of depressed, considering starting AA, having an internal philosophical conflict with social media and the people on it. Pretty standard stuff. What about you?
Damn, that's a lot!
Pretty okay on my side, business as usual!
That's cool. Hope your week stays chill like that
Sorry you're struggling with drug use. That's a tough challenge!
having an internal philosophical conflict with social media and the people on it.
I'm curious to read more details about this.
Just questioning environments people expect on the internet. You can't talk about different peoples without other people losing their mind when really discussing the differences between people shouldn't be controversial or offensive topic. People believe their self righteousness is more righteous the next person's self righteousness. And then what's the problem with admitting being wrong?
Surprisingly well. My 30 day no smartphone experiment I posted about here last week is going far better than expected. Probably going to post a check-in update tomorrow.
Are you gonna downgrade to a Nokia or one of the semi-trendy, intentional dumbphones?
Short answer: I don't know yet. I'd like to, but it's only been a week, so I don't know if all my use-cases are covered just yet.
Later today or maybe tomorrow, will hopefully be putting together a 1-week check in / follow up post to my original one from last week.
Interesting experiment. I can't risk this due to my need for email accessibility at all times as a gigging freelancer (as well as GPS nav), but it's great that this has been working for you so far!
Could be worse
It could be raining.
It could be 28 Cº outside.
just got back from vacation, now I feel like it's time to get my shit together. got back to the gym, cleaned some stuff. hopefully this lasts lol. but yeah going good so far
Got a small raise at my job. It's been a while since the last one (always been given stock units instead for the past few years). It's not huge, but it's enough to significantly cover one of our monthly expenses (bills, mortgage principal, or groceries). Also got a one-time bonus so that was nice.
Fantastic!
My week's going great! Online food shopping is going to arrive tomorrow night and I finished cleaning up the house 😃
