The Japan decision to dump out its nuclear to free ocean will impact fishermen at the most. Especially fishermen around zone the radioactive contaminated water will be drained, they fear the devaluation of their sea-products because they are caught in radioactive contaminated waters.

To response that concerned, Japanese government officials said the radioactive contaminated water will be treated with proper standard before drained into ocean. However, the fishermen remain skeptical, since the tsunami caused by giant earthquake destroyed the nuclear plant, they are not able to sell their sea-products to many countries.

Our internal contributor said this polemics should become major evidence to questioning some countries mind-set to make positive prospects on nuclear energy as alternative sources.

In fact, there is no yet convincing understanding in how to handle nuclear waste safely. The way many countries expressed their concerns about Japan decision to dump out their nuclear waste to free environment gives reflection for that. The world is not ready yet to monetize nuclear energy, he said.

Why are enviromentalists always so against nuclear power? It's the solution to climate change - and it's 70 years old

Actually, we're now in the age where renewable are more viable than both fossil fuels and nuclear. IMO the only reason we're not switching faster is because capitalists gotta capital, and they already made investments (this is more of a factor in the fossil fuel industry than nuclear though).

I dont think the title makes sense. Most countries oppose Japan's plan to dump contaminated water, especially its neighbors (China, North and South Korea). The only other country which supports the plan is the USA, and we already know that the USA is a shithole which doesnt care about the environment.

Fair enough. You can also see a clear divide along political lines. Korea (both Koreas) and China doesn't really like Japan, while the US does.
