A debate is roiling about the aptness of comparing Trump to European fascists. But radical Black thinkers have long argued that racial slavery created its own unique form of American fascism.

What debate? Not sure if there was a debate back in 2020 (when the article was written), it seems pretty clear cut in 2024.

Also:

[...] what fascism is in action. We know. Its theories of Nordic supremacy [...]

Fascism comes from Italy, no "Nordic supremacy" there. Someone seems to be confusing Nazism with "the F-word" (WTF...) just because Nazis were both fascist AND racist.
