Huh, so this is interesting. The Risa mod nuked my post, so I wasn't expecting any comment notifications. The post I made is still visible to me over here at Kbin, so I'm guessing it's still visible in some instances (like Beehaw) that may not be completely synced with the startrek.website instance? oh dang, i’m getting some weird stuff as well. looks like beehaw doesn’t federate with lemmy.world for moderation reasons. understandable, but a bummer!
Oh jeez, I'm sorry. I'm totally facepalming because now I remember reading about Beehaw defederating with some well-known instances, lemmy.world and lemmygrad.ml among them. I hope one day Beehaw will be able to handle the influx of users from some of these larger instances. Until then, you can still access Ten Forward at the direct link, I guess. Sorry again.
no worries! i totally understand beehaw’s reasoning. i run a small mastodon instance, and none of the really big instances are well moderated. it’s a bummer, but i’m glad it’s not gated behind having an account, and visiting the link will work fine for me! :)
