Whenever I see complex haircuts such as the one on the top I always wonder how people maintain it. What do you do each morning when you wake up? How do you ensure that the air always has the same shape and what do you do if it grows even a little bit (destroying the contrast and "fade")?

I disagree. If anything, the kid with the other haircut looks like their parents are pricks. Not that they necessarily are, he just looks like it.
