Kind of a weird article, right? Headline implies this is new information, but I recognized Dexter Wade's name from a couple months ago when he was finally buried properly. Sounds like the only development was another press conference in December.

I do wish these folks the best in their pursuit of justice. Dexter Wade's death is as infuriating as it is tragic. Something awfully fucking suspicious happening in Hinds County.

Wow. What the fuck. I have so many questions. Firstly, if the families presumed they were just “missing,” that must mean they were never recorded as arrested,so what the fuck were they doing in the hands of anyone with official jail connections? And I was assuming this was an old site that was used in the 40s or something, but then they said, “some of these people have been missing over a year.”

WHAT. This is a fucking ongoing…serial killing spree? And the jailhouse is connected? What in the fuck is this. This is genuinely insane.

Although I will say the statement about “we don’t know if this is due to bigotry [etc.]…” feels really…weird. Like, I understand the disproportionate killing of POC at the hands of police is an issue, but the inclusion of this statement just feels…fucking weird. Either like this many sort of undisclosed murders or deaths is only a matter if there is a hot button issue involved? That feels so wrong. I mean, I think we need to not take the race bait and focus on the fact that we are all he underclass being murdered and beaten into submission by a violent and oppressive force in the name of a goddamn economic structure. If we stopped minimizing and subdividing the true issue here, we would all be allies and we would have a much clearer and more effective fight on our hands.
