Where's the instruction manual, FAQ, or wiki?

Ideally with a link to it easily found for new people.

I remember reading that you can follow an entire instance,
but I can't find it,

That's the type of thing that should be in the FAQ.

We really need a fediverse wiki, so we can put the FAQ for all the apps on it.

Look in the footer...

The FAQ is still work in progress and currently hosted on codeberg instead of here. It's also rather limited currently, not really going into the more obscure parts of the site that actually need explaining.

I think it's clear why they haven't finished it yet, given kbin's history (it wasn't meant to blow up) and them having more important priorities.

Note : I've found the way to sub to an entire instance (domain)

sub out the m for magazine for d for domain

https://kbin.social/d/domainame.com
https://kbin.social/d/lemmy.dbzer0.com
https://kbin.social/d/lemmy.ml

Then you can just click subscribe

That's subscribing you to all communities from that instance which have been federated to your instance. But it's not necessarily the entire instance.
