The North Carolina Republican Party introduced a bill that would give parents more control over their children's education. The bill would make it easier for parents to access instructional materials, prosecute librarians, and remove superintendents. The bill would also require schools to inform parents if their child begins identifying as a different gender. Democrats criticized the bill, saying it would allow book banning and give too much power to groups like Moms for Liberty. The bill was pulled from a scheduled hearing to give lawmakers more time to review it, though some Republicans support giving parents more authority. It remains unclear if the bill would pass if brought to a full vote.

I feel that the Satanic Temple could have fun with this one.

I’d say “good luck finding qualified librarians and teachers,” but since this parents’ rights stuff is mostly aimed at defunding public schools long-term, I don’t think they’d mind.
