Hi! I'm looking for a FOSS app or software that can recognize text based on a photo of my handwriting.

Any suggestions?

I've always used Tesseract to get text from scanned documents. It might work for you if you don't write in cursive.

And if I do write in cursive?

Tesseract unfortunately doesn't really support cursive. This should work for cursive but might be a bit more difficult to set up. There is also the google cloud vision api which seems to handle cursive quite well but it isn't exactly foss.
