Business idea : buy then rent to juniors.

For bonus markah, can buy used ones off your batch mates (preferably different sizes) then rent them out

yep, everything so far sounds like they frizzed you all up. literally no reputable uni would pull this kind of shit.

shirt, tie, slacks have 0% bearing. under the robes it's barely visible.
if they control/own the distributor they stand to get a lot of money by this dick move.
unis rent out robes and lapels. those never change because unis want to save money too.
also each lapel represents a faculty so they'll never change year after year.
