The Dresden bombing is overhyped, by the soviets(as proof of how "evil" the West is) and far right nowadays.

38mins in, it compares the percentages of cities destroyed in Europe in comparison to japanese cities. So if we are talking about suffering and destruction caused by bombing, Japan got wrecked a lot more. And thats without even counting the nuclear bombs btw.

just fyi: I'm well aware that the bombings were largely pointles and not actually advocating for the validity of those. It's mostly a shitpost and dunk on hitlerite fascists, seeing how they destroyed virtually all of eastern Europe

I interpreted that comment differently. The Dresden bombings evilness are overhyped. The primary targets of the raid were military industrial targets and were not as destructive to population centers as bombing raids in the pacific theater.

ah, I misinterpreted your comment then. afaik a lot of civilian infrastructure was destroyed by the allied bombings over all of Germany, but they were largely justified to an extent and ofc not without purpose. tho the destruction of industry - which is an important war goal - is often framed as "bombing of civilians"
