I liked Serpent and the Rainbow (and recommended it to someone on lemmy) and also liked The Skeleton Key. I have not heard of The Believers. I have to check it out just from your recommendations.

Also seeing it made by the director who made Midnight Cowboy and Marathon Man has got me intrigued.
