Why not any kind of wedge with minimum taper and a sharp tip? They make plastic ones for tree felling that can be shaped with hand tools. I have definitely lifted well over 1000 lbs with one (plus a hammer).

Any plastic wedge can be reshaped with wood working tools like a rasp. On your problem, I would try to get it under a corner to pop the seal.
