I finally ploughed through Bleach. Started a couple of years ago after being baited to watch it too, but dropped it halfway as some of the arcs I felt just didn't tie in. But ended up finishing it last year!

The soul society arc is definitely awesome! I enjoyed the "manga arcs" quite a lot, hopefully you'll have the same experience too!
