My old person trait is that I think 'ghosting' is completely unacceptable and you owe the other person a face-to-face conversation.

WhenI send letters/payments in the mail, I put a little scotch tape over the flap of the envelope just in case the envelope adhesive fails. Grandma always did this and i thought it made sense.
What if the tape sticks to something else, consequently opening the envelope or detaching from it?
