I'm also a programmer but my old start up got eaten by a big corporation, so now we've been doing essentially the opposite. They won't hire and we're overloaded/running a skeleton crew fleshed out with offshore resources. X.x been trying to find a new job but I'm such a noob at job hunting that I genuinely don't know what I'm doing in that realm and no one is getting back to me haha

But enough about me, good luck with your sweet set up! That's pretty awesome! Did it take any convincing on your guy's part or did the management just decide to take a chance on it?

I sorta lobbied to my boss, him to the CEO, for years. I think the Great Resignation made a huge difference as it seemed like out core crew was on the way out. It was either pay everyone 25% more or let everyone work 20% less. I am glad they chose the latter.

Good luck on the job hunt. I have been on the hiring end more often than the interview one. I mainly look for communication skills and flexibility. Those two core points make the technical aspect so much easier. Not sure if that helps!
