All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.

See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.

(It's not mandatory, but we also encourage providing a description of your image(s) for accessibility purposes! See here for a more detailed explanation and advice on how best to do this.)

This plant is at my work, no clue what kind it is, but it used to be so pretty and vibrant but now it's brittle and dying.

What is i5 called and what are the beat conditions for it?

Hey OP, I've looked a couple of ways and don't see a picture attached to your post. There are folks here who'd love to help - I'd ask that you post a comment with a link to the photo on a service like imgur or imgbb, or another of your choice. @greatwhitebuffalo has some great questions in their comment that would also help the community to assist you. It's okay if you don't have answers, but an image of the plant and its situation would really go a long way.

Sorry about that! I was at work and didn't see that I somehow didn't include a photo. I have 2 posted now on other comments.

Thanks for your help!!

Hey, no need to apologize! Looking at your comments and the plants I think you're on the right track - they look to be Bromeliads (air plants) to me. Those rely on having light to moderate shade and some moisture in the air in many cases. I'd consider having a small spray bottle handy to mist it occasionally, and possibly look to relocate it to a spot that gets less direct sunlight.

Awesome! Thank you! I'm going to try putting them in the other customer waiting area for now or bring them home to get them healthy again. Maybe bring them back to the lobby when the cloud cover comes back in a few months.
