Looking for new fresh ideas to defeat the parking barnacle so far the only possible solutions I have heard and thought about.

Method 1: turn on windshield defroster for 30minutes on max heat then slide a credit card shim under the suctions Method 2: wrap the whole barnacle in aluminum foil to block the GPS signal Method 3: jam the signal with a WiFi jammer although these are hard to come by especially in the us and don't recommend

Does pulling that thing off the windscreen actually get you out of the fine?

I'm not in the US. Over here, they'd take a picture of your car, license plate and where it's parked.

Then, if it's on public ground you will just directly get a fine in the mail, or if it's private property, they sue you for trespassing.

And if you don't pay, they seize your property to settle what you owe.

On the other hand, on private property something like the barnacle would be illegal, since it would prohibit you from using your own property. Only police would be allowed to use similar devices and only on public ground.
