I haven't played all of them, so I'm still evaluating my choices ;)

it's hard to have only one over the others...

FF8 was my 1st Final Fantasy so it has a special place in my heart and that ending that mindfucked me but I find it hard to replay it today. It's watching the cinematic of hydra exploding a wall on a friend computer that pushed me to the franchise. It was so incredible to think at that time it was a game cinematic, not a movie...

FF6 is probably the one I replayed the most, I find everything almost perfect

FF9 has the most jaw droping cinematic when a certain character reach trance (definitely the cinematic that made me love that character). Thanks to that cinematic I really love that character and by extension the whole game

and in FF14 I have my best memories because I played it with my friends

Either FF9 or FF14 would be my choices, too.

To everyone else, don't write off the quality of FF14 just because it's an MMO.
