Collecting links and snapshots of lives across Southeast Asia and maybe a little further. Owned by a Malaysian who is inviting others to contribute to a hopefully representative view of the Southeast Asian fediverse. We track fedi-specific hashtags for our microblog as general country magazines exist or are upcoming (eg Philippines channel on Lemmy; and @Malaysia@kbin.social here). Currently tracking: - TootSEA (regional)
- MYToots (Malaysia)
- MakanApaToday (food posts) Please let me know of others! **Link: thread on how to navigate and contribute here but also the threadiverse at large**.

chinese diaspora influence on the development of reggae music is indisputable > there are quite a few great articles on this, e.g.
https://spinditty.com/genres/Chinese-of-Jamaica-pioneers-of-reggae-music or
https://daily.bandcamp.com/lists/chinese-jamaican-influence-on-classic-reggae-list
i would like to add that the success of both dancehall and dubstep was driven by records labels run by chinese, too
@testing ooo thanks for these!
