So many people seem to be outright angry that Beehaw wants to control what sort of a community they (we!) have. Like federation means that you're obligated to stay federated with absolutely everyone regardless of what your goals are for your own community, because something something "that's what the fediverse is".
End of the day it's still instances doing their own thing. Some allow all kinds of… behavior, some don't. Nobody's under any obligation to federate with others
