Never understood the point of this meme. Even if the beams don't melt, you still need to account for the material becoming weakened and mailable, which happens at a much lower temp than it's melting point, and then it loses all structural integrity.
That's what conspiracy nuts keep saying. "Jet fuel cannot melt steel beams!!!1!".
It's a meme because of how fucking stupid that is.
