I have an an called BBC Sounds on my phone, which lets me stream BBC radio stations. I also use it in the car sometimes.

But Carplay has decided for some reason that this is my default music app, not Apple Music.

So if I say "Hey Siri, play some music". It will reply "Now playing music on BBC Sounds" - and immediately fail.

So I have to keep saying "Hey Siri, play music on Apple Music" - which gets a bit old. Any ideas?

I don’t have CarPlay but will in the next couple of days, so this post interested me. Have you tried doing this? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253817069

Can’t test it myself yet, though.

If you are suggesting that icon-order might influence defaults - it's a good thought, but BBC Sounds is way down the list of apps, compared with Apple Music. Hmmm
