In a vacuum, he may be right that Gail Slater is a good pick for Assistant AG for the Antitrust Division. I don't know much about her; she might be a killer antitrust lawyer. She's still an antitrust lawyer under Trump. Praising Republicans for backing her is like finding a 20 dollar bill in a 10 ton pile of manure. You're 20 dollars richer, but you had to dig through thousands of pounds of cow shit to reach it.
