Just had a company meeting about raises. I don't quality because I just started, but they gave everyone:

You should have seen everyone's face. The mood in the meeting plummeted instantly.

I'm expecting some resignations in the next few weeks.

Exactly. I'm staying for 12 months and grabbing the certs I need then I'm out.

That's barely covers inflation these days. It just make sure you're taking home the same realised income as the year before

The only way to get a pay rise these days is jump ship, it seems. Unfortunately

100%. That's worked for me whilst I've been in corporate.

That's how it has become these days. Companies don't invest in their people like they used to, so you have to become the master of your own career

I'm here for 12 months to up skill. If I get a real promotion and it's equivalent pay rise, cool. If not, other plans will come into play.

Wow! And I used to get upset about my 5% yearly raise at my last job.
