Edit: with Mintyytea's help, I figured out how to do it:

  1. Go to https://kbin.social/m/newcommunities@lemmy.world
  2. Use the plus (+) button in the upper right of the kbin UI to add the article

I believe one of the Lemmy instances has a "newcommunities" forum, but I'm not sure if kbin has something similar

Thanks

I advertised my kbin magazine on that lemmy community you mentioned :) I’m subscribed to it too. Most of the forums im subscribed to are from lemmy but it’s fine

That's great, but I haven't figured out how to do that in the UI. Tried Create New Article, even while subscribed to newcommunities@lemmy.world and it won't populate the community dropdown

Are you going to the community and then clicking create new article? Maybe post a screenshot of the issue you run into

Thank you. Your comment helped me figure it out. In kbin you have to use the upper right + (plus) button to do it. And then the community dropdown fills in properly.
