Commbank? I'm with a subsidiary and my new card was the same :( what happened to embossed text after decades of it
It got enshittified. :(
No longer using those roller arrangements to process a transaction, so the raised text is not required. Chip does all that now.
But they stopped using that ages ago, I thought it was all about the lovely tactile feeling and being able to differentiate your credit card from all the other cards...
There's different cut outs on the narrow end for different types of cards. Half moons, triangles etc. Can't think what as I don't actually have a credit card as such. My eftpos card has a half moon.
