I've tried both. Here are some thoughts.

I like the more sorting options by different time points like last 6 or 12 hours on Kbin.
Seems easier to find Lemmy subs on Kbin that it is to find Kbin subs on Lemmy.
I don't like that I can't see what Kbin defederates from like I can on Lemmy.
I'm wary of large instances on the fediverse because of stability and being a potential target for defederation due to size (such as mastodon social).
