So I've been reading The Wandering Inn, which is amazing btw, but it's started getting a little intense and I want to take a break for a bit. I wanted to read something similar, and I like how serious the author takes the topic. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've already blasted through Hedge Wizard and Arcane Ascension for additional references.

Edit: here's a compiled list of the recommendations so far, and where I'm putting them.

Currently Reading: Cradle

To-Read: Practical Guide to Evil, Bastion, Mother of Learning

To Check Out: Beware of Chicken, Only Villains Do, Way of Choices,

This feels like a pretty solid list, but I'll update as I go.

Unsouled is a good one! I think there series is a bit too long, but definitely progression fantasy and a pretty neat bit of world building. Each book is relatively short so it isn't too big of a commitment in one go

If you've tried reading Wandering Inn you'll get a sense of how long I'm willing to let a story burn if I think it's good. I've read a lot of manwha with cultivators and reincarnators, is this similar?

It's the first book in the cradle series which it looks like you said you've read already?

Huh, maybe I haven't? I could have sworn I had Cradle on my previously-read list, but now I can't find any of the books from the series. Well, I guess I may have a series to dive into!

Oh, then definitely do it. The first 3 books are great. Books 4-7 are good but not great in my opinion. They probably should have been consolidated into 2 or 3 books instead of 4. I haven't started book 8 yet, so I can't speak to how it ends
