I'd love to make a kbin mobile app. Is the REST API ready? (kbin.social)

I've been poking around the API docs here: https://docs.kbin.pub/#introduction

But I don't seem able to get the requests to work when pointing at kbin.social. Is the API not ready? Or maybe disabled due to load?

Any guidance on this would be great.
