United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Royaume-Uni - Nil points
I felt that it was true to the actual contest, when I saw that everyone else had taken it a good deal more seriously.
The great thing about Eurovision is that there are no right answers. You can flip from standard Europop to Lordi and back again. As there's so much politics at play, the "best" song may not win, so the important thing is to have fun.
I do feel the UK's entries tend to be awfully bland and we should try and shake things up a bit. Our Lemmyvision entry goes some way to correcting that.
The French entry literally has meme in the title, so theirs clearly isn't serious. /s
I turned it off after a few seconds because it was in French.
That got my #1 vote - there's something about French rapping...
Same, I enjoyed that one
I see it as our "Get Schwifty".
We may not win, but we've entertained (and possibly disturbed) some people, which is a win in my book.
we did win. ^^
It appears to be Michael Winner, Les Battisby from Corrie, and Compo from the Last Summer Wine on his holidays. Impressive line up tbf.
