I'm not really sure what my first PC game was, possibly some text adventure on the TRS80, but the two most memorable from not much later were 1984's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and King's Quest I. I think Hitchhiker's probably preceded my reading the book by a few years, but still a lot of fun! KQ1 and all of those Sierra Online ones were my favorites for years until I started playing NES in 86/87. Then it was consoles for a decade until I could afford a newer PC. Fast forward to now, I haven't had a current gen console for 20 years and my wife and I play PC co-op games almost daily.
