I did have that thought pop up for a few seconds every now and then during the huge Twitter migration, but Space Karen is nowhere near smart enough to plan something like that.

No, but now that the idea is out there he'll definitely pretend that was his plan the entire time!

Ahh, but he could buy the business of someone who WAS smart enough to plan something like that, and then run it into the ground. See... maybe the board of Twitter knew that the fediverse was going to eat their lunch eventually anyway, so they might as well get the golden parachute while selling out to the guy who will accelerate the process?
