I’ve never deleted an email from my inbox and I have all of the sunset emails from them, including this one!

I loved the structure of G+, but to say it lifted off is hysteric.

Nice blast from the past, thanks!

I wasn't terribly surprised when they ended it, but it was kinda a bummer

Some unique features of Orkut included:

  1. "Crush List": A feature that allowed users to list their crushes on their profile[3].
  2. Testimonials: Users could write testimonials for each other, adding a personal touch to profiles[3].
  3. Customizable Themes: Orkut allowed users to customize the look of their profiles with different themes[2].
  4. Rankings: Users could be rated by friends based on categories like how sexy, cool, or trustworthy they were, leading to top ten lists[5].
  5. Fans: Users could amass fans on Orkut, creating a sense of popularity and social interaction[5].

God imagine those features suddenly showing up on Instagram or Facebook

I never used all those features, but I remember it being a super comfy platform with nice ways to interact
