It's weird seeing total downvotes again. It seems I'm not as witty as I thought I was.

Pay no attention to the public. What do THEY know anyway?

I could see downvotes yesterday but can’t today. Not quite sure what’s happening with that. New technology makes me feel like an old fuddy-duddy.

Same, did something change or are the downvoters still asleep

[–] calhoon2005@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

yeah, now you mention it, it's not on all my comments

The downvoter is like the unopened box of stuff you've brought with you for the last three house moves. You no longer know whats in it, you keep it in the car hole, you move it every time.

years ago (like 30+) our family moved back to Melbourne from the UK. We opened our seafreight boxes 3months later to find the packers had fully packed the kitchen - including all the food in the fridge, vegetables, ham and other obvious perishables - that is certainly a box i would never want to open again

I've done removals. We had a container from England one time. It's common in professional removals to have a "Knick Knacks / Important stuff box". Mostly TV remotes, packs of furniture bolts and lego found under furniture. The ones from England sometimes had a kettle, mugs, tea and UHT milk.
