Expected outcome, tbh. So much "Reddit is dead" yet people cant stick to their guns. This is very similar to the mastodon situation a while ago. Musk did the blue checkmark dirty, many went to mastodon, then returned to twitter after a while.
It may not have done much against the snoo, but it helped lemmy a ton. Sure, most new users are going to leave, but lemmy will not go back to its old numbers. This whole debacle was, overall, a net win for this platform.
