No, my subscription to !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com. I've been able to sub to other instance's communities fine in general. In this case I wondered if it required approval because I see this:
It will resove itself eventually, you don't need to do anything. It's likely your server was overloaded at the time, and added your subscribe request to a queue.
Yes, it's a federation thing. Something something you subscription notice hasn't communitcated properly between the two servers. I don't know the technical details I'm afraid. You're better off asking !lemmy_support@lemmy.ml
