I don't like his association with this club, but it would be very difficult to lose Xhaka, Partey, and potentially Jorginho in one summer
We aren't getting rid of our 3 midfield vets in one window. We have CL and the the league next season and we will need depth.
I will not stand for this Elneny erasure!
That's arguably the issue. If we're losing Xhaka and Partey and only bringing in two, our squad would still be a little shallow.
So it's not Riceido, it's Riceidogan!!
Not gonna lie, I'm okay with this π
@sabret00the Would defo soften the blow if the incomings were riceido π¬
With ESR making the transition to the Xhaka role, it's not all doom and gloom but we'll need to get a usable Elneny replacement in the next window.
@sabret00the @Gingerrific i like the idea of keeping partey as a rotation player for rice; have him play 20-25 games (which is all he seems available for anyway)
I don't think our reasons for moving Partey on are football related.
@WorldcupCSR @sabret00the @Gingerrific his fragility is one reason why I'd just take whatever we can get for him. A backup who's never available is not a real backup.
@thatdosbox @sabret00the @Gingerrific but if he would accept the role and really just play 20-25 games heβd be a backup that didnβt cause the levels to drop significantly.
@WorldcupCSR @sabret00the @Gingerrific let's just say his fragility is *one* reason I'd be fine with getting rid of him π€
@thatdosbox @sabret00the @Gingerrific on a separate topic, seeing an athletic article on Marcus Thuram; wonder why we arenβt in for him??
@WorldcupCSR @sabret00the @Gingerrific seems he's more suited to a counter attacking team, and less suited to patient build up play?
@thatdosbox @sabret00the @Gingerrific i hear that
Jorginho is happy to stay apparently.
