I have the previous generation of Kindle Oasis, but I don’t get books from Amazon. I either get them through the Libby app (that’s my first choice, the best way to support the public library is by using it), or I download them from someplace else and use Calibre to transfer them.
I like the backlight for reading at night because I can set it to a brightness and temperature that are barely noticeable but help my eyes feel less strained. Also it’s lightweight and the case is a nice shape and texture so it doesn’t make my RSI/nerve pain worse. A definite step up from the 2nd gen original kindle I’d had since 2010 or so.
